Back in Business

We're back to in person events! Things might look a little bit different than they used to but that's because we've modified the way we put our events together to continue social distancing efforts within California and the groups that we work with. I intend to sit down and write a longer post that outlines the changes and the experiences we've learned from in the past year because it's been a doozy but it's part of our journey and i want it to live somewhere. For now though, we're just so thrilled to be able to have the ability to be able to come together and continue to do what we love.
Testing Time!
by Andi
When we're getting ready for one of our Tabletop and Tea Time events, we try to do a run through of each of the games that we'll be playing for a couple of reasons: 1) we like playing games. duh. 2) it gives us a chance to troubleshoot the virtual versions of the games that we will be playing. It's one thing to know the mechanics of a game but navigating some of the virtual versions of the pages makes things like tile placement a tad harder.
The plus side: the clean up is infinitely easier.
Foodie Trail - Work Those Buns
by Andi
This month, we decided that we'd go forth and have some dumpling and buns at some of the best places in our neck of the woods. We mapped it out, we made plans, we ordered ahead and somehow in true 2020 fashion things went wrong. One of the main issues is that we didn't realize how many places would be closed due to the holiday. However, we still managed to find a lovely selection of buns, dumplings, bao and potstickers to fill ourselves up with for the end of this crazy year.
